How I treat this:
I first address the spinal misalignment which typically for this issue, occurs at T4-T7. I then look at the rib heads to see how they might be contributing to the issue as they do attach between the thoracic vertebrae. Then we look at the surrounding musculature that could be extremely tight or in spasm. Patient’s typically have immediate relief of their symptoms and follow up for 1-2 more visits with complete relief of symptoms.
